Time for New Ideas!

Nanna Rüster supports companies as they position themselves as leaders and innovators.

A key focus is on assisting upper management to meet growing market demands, handle internal restructuring and motivate challenging work teams. Strong support is a must when implementing innovative business ideas and strategies.

In today's world, managing demands like digitalisation or communicating about sustainability requires anchoring a communication culture within the company, while staying responsive to shifts in the broader context.

No matter the size of the company or the level of management, Executive Coaching focuses on:

  • Clear identification of the option matrix
  • Decisiveness and targeted action
  • Leveraging of management methodologies and effective communication styles
  • Reflection on work processes, expectation management, staff leadership
  • Interaction between thinking, action, presentation and perception

The duration and intensity of coaching is flexible, and can be tailored to meet any time and content demands.

Process

Stop Think Move

This coaching approach is typified by a structured interplay between strategy and communication.

In both realms, the Nanna Rüster model employs targeted enquiry and specific tasks designed to analyse complex situations layer-for-layer. As realistic and relevant options are uncovered, the context of behavioural change becomes understandable and manageable.

This expands the option matrix so that problems can be constructively and sustainably resolved at critical points in the process.

The Navigation Model

The focus of this model is on charting one's individual position in the overall process – providing a 'reality check'.

This is the basis for formulation of strategies and subsequent steps. Navigation is oriented on the classical phases of the decision making process: stop = pinpoint your position, think = consider the options and decide on a direction, move = implement your plan.

Only when all parameters of a situation have been identified and analysed can direction and specific targets be defined – and the plan successfully implemented ... Only then can the journey begin!

stop

Reality check. Gain distance. Review the situation so far. Sort out what is important right now. Look ahead. Achieve a bird's eye view Gather facts and figures. Identify relations/correlations. View the big picture. Test networks. Identify allies and opponents.

The focus of this phase is on a 'reality check' and determining current positioning.

Where am I? What is the environment in which I am operating? Who is in charge of what, and when? What are the urgent needs? To give you clarity and assurance before, during and after key milestones.

think

Reflect on the way forward. Focus. Change perspectives. Prioritise. Throw off unnecessary ballast. Anchor proven methods. Sharpen skills. Associate. Meditate. Unleash creative thinking. Recognize solutions. Make decisions. Plan accordingly.

This is the time for reflection and analysis.

Conclusions can be drawn – goals set. Methods and alternatives are prepared. Looking inward, we ask: How do I feel about this situation? What are my roles and responsibilities? Where shall I begin? What is my motivation? What kind of team do I need? What are the rules of this game? Where and when can my resources best be utilised?

move

Put plans into action. Advancement through clarity. Practice decisiveness. Confront obstacles. Embody confidence. Get motivated and motivate others. Take ownership. Provide constructive orientation. Communicate, communicate, communicate. Keep an eye on the big picture.

Get things moving with determination and a solid command of strategy and methods.

Provide true team leadership and show stakeholders that they can trust to the guidance provided. If not you, who then?

The Communication Toolbox

The Toolbox provides targeted assistance to clients to achieve their goals, and quickly provides a comprehensive reflection of the impact made by the client's own presence.

By fine tuning specific behavioural aspects, one gains the flexibility and empathy needed to adapt seamlessly to new conditions and people.

Decisiveness and authentic communication become the modus operandi.

The goal: Effective integration of strategy in daily business.

The four Toolbox perspectives are based on the key elements of human communication: mind = strategy, body = expression, territory = action environment, direction = synergistic action. These four perspectives, each comprising several individual criteria, help guarantee a precise understanding of situations, behaviours and communication patterns.

Mind

Decide on content. Breakdown of strategy into concrete steps. Set up meetings. Plan plots and scripts. Associate motivations. Maintain focus on the whole. Powerful preparation.

Territory

Pinpoint position. Make use of the environment. Study and adapt circumstances. Learn to use the media. Actively shape the playing field.

Body

Internalise goals. Identify roles. Survey perception (internal and external). Consciously use gestures, expressions. Coordinate language and voice with eye contact. Stay compelling.

Direction

Plan communication. Watch attitude and bearing. Show empathy. Motivate the audience. Identify and utilise environmental influences.

Outcome

You make decisions mindfully and decisively.
You develop a compelling communication style.
You find the way to connect with the people around you
You learn to efficiently resolve conflict situations

Why Coaching

Why Coaching

In the flood of daily demands, it is vital to take a 'pit stop', tuning up your senses and permitting success to manifest – occupying a vantage point from which to watch over an ever widening sphere of personal influence.

Being ready for anything requires fresh perspectives and constructive reflection about one's self and the respective environment, as well as honest feedback and sharp inward/outward awareness.

Perception can be enhanced by shining a light on one's own 'blind spots'. Looking from within puts you in contact with your intuition and the source of outward action. The key to greater professionalisation and integration of strengths is the ability to create a space in which thought and action unite to accommodate new ideas and critically examine supposed obstacles and opportunities.

This is where Nanna Rüster provides proven and professional support and facilitates changes for the benefit of managers and the companies that count on them!
